Periprosthetic Fractures
If patients that have had a hip or knee replacement were to sustain an injury following a fall or accident they can sometimes fracture the bone surrounding their implant, this is a term referred to as a periprosthetic fracture. These are often complex injuries that require planning to correct the fracture and often revise the implant in situ.
Mr Yates is an expert in complex hip and knee replacement surgery and the multitude of techniques required to correct the problem of periprosthetic fractures. Patients are commonly referred to Mr Yates and his team for complex surgical management.
